By default, Revenue Intelligence syncs all contacts from your PMS. However, if you require to add additional contacts, you can follow the steps in this article. You may import as many additional data fields (we call them contact attributes) as desired, such as first name, last name, birthday, mobile phone number, etc. |
⚠️ To import contacts into Revenue Intelligence, you must have a Contact List already created. |
How to import contacts
- From the Marketing tab, go to Guests & Segments and click on the Lists section
- Click on the Import Guests button
- Select the contact list into which you want to import the new contacts.
- Choose the Subscription Status of the contacts you are uploading (e.g., Implicit Consent, Unsubscribed). Refer to the Subscription Statuses article for more details.
-
In the dialog box, you will see the option to upload a CSV file.
- Most content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Prestashop) and Guest Marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Pipedrive) allow you to download your contact list as a CSV file. Typically, you may import this file directly into Revenue Intelligence.
- When creating this file, ensure that each contact and its attributes must be separated by a comma
,
, as shown in the example below.
EMAIL,SURNAME,NAME,SMS
john@example.com,Smith,John,33123456789
harry@example.com,Pierce,Harry,33111222222
howard@example.com,Paige,Howard,33777888898- Ensure that the file includes a header row that specifies the name of each contact attribute (e.g., email, surname, name, SMS).
- Once the file is uploaded, click Next to proceed.
- During the import process, Revenue Intelligence will ask you to map the data from your file to the corresponding fields in your Revenue Intelligence contact list. This is where you ensure that each column in your CSV file (such as email, name, or phone number) matches the correct contact attribute in the system.
- Select the appropriate contact attribute for each column from the dropdown menu.
- If you do not want to import certain data, you can mark it as "None".
- Once you have completed the mappings, you'll see the Import button activate. Click it to finalize the process.
