Explore Comprehensive Data Dimensions
Review detailed revenue information across various categories:
- Length of Stay: Revenue data based on reservations' length of stay.
- Lead time: This refers to the number of days between booking and check-in. This data point is important to understand the customers' behavior to time rate adjustments or promotions.
- Market Segmentation: Complete revenue overview per market segment.
- Room Type: Detailed revenue per room type.
- Day of week: Revenue information focusing on each day of the week.
- Source of Business: This chart presents revenue per source of business (origin, not channels).
✅ Is there a difference between Source of Business and Booking Channel? Yes. A Source of Business is a broader classification that groups multiple booking methods together—such as “INTERNET,” which might include OTAs like Booking.com or Expedia. In contrast, a Booking Channel is the specific platform or agent through which a reservation is made. This distinction helps you understand where business originates at a high level, while also analyzing detailed channel performance in reports like Source Analytics. |
- Booking Channel: Revenue per channel. This information comes from the data in the PMS.
- Rate Code: Revenue per rate code in the selected period of time.
- Companies: Revenue related to company profiles attached to reservations.
- Promotion Code: Revenue details per promotion codes.
Tips & Best Practices
- This report is a centralized and comprehensive data hub, consolidating data from all other Revenue Intelligence analytics (promotion codes, company profiles, rate codes, booking channels, and market segments).
- Use the cross-filtering functionality to answer specific business questions, such as identifying future booking gaps or understanding weekend business drivers.
- Consider comparing results with the same point in time for a detail-oriented view, especially when investigating specific trends or anomalies.
- Be aware that "unknown" segments or revenue can appear if revenue is not attached to a booking (e.g., external restaurant visitors not posted to a room), and you can filter to focus on room revenue or other specific types.
