The Pickup Reports section forms the main part of your journey to understanding the current position of your hotel. The initial page gives you the year overview of multiple hotels in your portfolio.
Steps to access
- Open the Revenue Intelligence platform
- Go to the Pickup Reports tab
Colors and Status Icons
The calendar uses colors to indicate occupancy variance and icons to show the current status of your rate recommendations.
Variance Colors:
- Red - A negative change (e.g., Cancellations).
- Green - A positive change (e.g., Bookings).
- Blue - Negative inventory (e.g., Overbooked date).
While the initial year view provides a high-level summary, clicking on a specific month allows you to drill down into individual stay dates. In this expanded view, you can monitor specific metrics and identify the status of your rate recommendations through a series of intuitive icons.
Recommendation Status Icons:
-
Blue Checkmark: Indicates the recommended rate for the base room type has been accepted.
-
Orange Checkmark: Indicates a custom rate was manually entered and accepted. This action automatically locks the rate for that room type, preventing Autopilot or bulk actions from overriding your manual strategy.
-
Closed Padlock: The rates for this date are fully locked and will not be modified by Autopilot or bulk actions.
-
Open Padlock: Indicates a "partial lock" where some, but not all, room types for this date are locked.
| 💡 The ranges that determine if a color is light or dark can be customized in the Settings section. |
Filters
You can filter your view based on a particular Hotel, Month, or by choosing to view Historical/Current data (where available).
Bulk Actions
To save time, you can use the Accept Month button to bulk-accept every recommendation for the currently selected month in a single click.
| ⓘ The Accept Month action will automatically skip any dates or room types that have been Locked. |
Metrics
The year calendar shows you the selected metric for all your properties. You can choose your metric by clicking on one of the tabs:
- Opportunities – Displays potential rate changes based on market demand and forecasted performance. Green indicates a rate increase opportunity, and red indicates a recommended decrease.
- Availability – The inventory remaining to sell per stay date, with colors showing changes from the selected update date (more details below).
- Rates – Compares your current rate against the competitor's median rate, expressed as a percentage difference.
- Rooms – Displays the number of rooms booked for each stay date (not the remaining inventory).
- Revenue – Shows room revenue generated per date, and optionally includes F&B, function, and other revenue types when toggled.
- Rooms Pace – Compares current pickup against the same point in time last year to show booking momentum and gaps.
Metric Details
You can choose specific details for your metric in this section:
- Guests, Rate type: Set the guest count and choose between Lowest Rate or Best Flex for comparison. These now pull from your Reporting Defaults in Settings to ensure your preferred view is ready as soon as you open the page.
- Update date: Defines the reference point for measuring change. You can now set a default "Compare To" date (e.g., Yesterday at 9 AM) in your Settings so the report always loads with your preferred comparison period.
- Dashboard Settings: Let's you toggle between comparisons by day and by date.
- Report Exporter: Launches the tool to export Excel reports with selected filters, dates, and hotels. Learn more HERE.
