Report Overview
The End of Day Analytics report in Revenue Intelligence provides a historical record of all actual financial transactions posted during the end-of-day process in your hospitality business.
This report allows users to delve into detailed breakdowns of revenue streams, offering a reliable historical view of revenue and operational data to analyze trends and understand business activity based on settled transactions.
⚠️ Prerequisites: Transactions must have been posted during the end-of-day process in the Property Management System (PMS). The detailed breakdowns are dependent on how the revenue categories and sub-categories are set up in your PMS. |
Access End-of-Day Analytics
- Click on the Analytics tab in the Main menu.
- Select End of Day from the dropdown menu.
Analytics Page Settings
- Choose one or more properties using the "Property Selector" to display metrics.
- Select your preferred time frame from the preset options using the "Date Range Selector" to analyze data from different historical date ranges.
- Use the "Dashboard Settings" to display the desired last year comparison:
- Last Year by Day: Default option, comparing day-to-day (e.g. Monday to the closest Monday last year).
- Last Year by Date: Comparing date-to-date (e.g. 25 December 2025 to 25 December 2024).
- Click the "Report Exporter" button to export or download the data as an Excel file.
Review Revenue Summary and Graphics
- Examine the Revenue Summary which breaks down revenue per group (e.g., Accommodation, Food and Beverage) for the selected timeframe.
- Observe the "Total Revenue and TRevPar" graphics, showing performance per date and revenue group.
You have the option to group dates by Day, Week, or Month to see totals charts, as well as have a table view of data, by selecting these options:
Dive into Analysis Groups and Codes
- View Analysis Groups (e.g., Accommodation, Food and Beverage) to see revenue distribution by primary sources. You can switch between graphic and grid views.
- To view Analysis Code data, select an Analysis Group from the left side. This will display a breakdown of the selected group into its corresponding sub-categories (e.g., Restaurant dinner, Room Service under FNB).
Tips & Best Practices
- Utilize granular revenue breakdown to drill down into detailed transaction lines for various revenue categories and specific sub-categories based on your PMS setup.
- Leverage detailed filtering capabilities to dig into the exact transactions that have occurred for greater granularity in analysis.
- Perform comparative analysis by comparing current data with performance from the previous one or two years, choosing to compare "by day" (matching the day of the week) or "by date".
