Report Overview
The Rate Code Analytics report provides a specialized view for an in-depth analysis of booking performance, focusing on the granular details of individual rate codes.
This report is crucial for evaluating the performance of rates and channels (like specific Online Travel Agencies) and understanding the impact of your rate strategy.
⚠️ Prerequisites Rate codes must be configured and used in your PMS for bookings. It's important to map every rate code in the system correctly to one of the defined categories (e.g., Public Dynamic, Public Fixed, Contracted Dynamic, Contracted Fixed, Groups) within the Revenue Intelligence settings. This mapping helps drive forecast accuracy. |

Tips & Best Practices
- Focus on the targeted analysis of rate codes, which differentiates it from the broader market segment focus of the Hotel Analytics report.
- Utilize channel performance evaluation by analyzing rate codes associated with bookings to assess how different channels perform.
- Filter down to particular statuses or compare to the same time last year for deeper insights.
- Hide the "Unknown" category in the rate code charts if it distorts the view, as this typically represents unmapped F&B or function revenue not linked to a booking.
- Customize your rate display to show the Best Flex Rate (free cancellation) or specific meal plans (e.g., breakfast rate) to see relevant rate comparisons.
