The Financials tab helps you assess the performance impact of Revenue Intelligence’ recommendations by comparing current data with past and competitive benchmarks. This section combines metrics and room segmentation data to give you both a summary and a detailed breakdown.
ⓘ This tab isn't exclusive to the Pickup Reports. You can also view this information from the Opportunities > Rate Changes section. |
What you can do:
- Review Totals and Benchmark Comparisons
The Totals table at the top compares financial and occupancy KPIs across four columns:
- On the Books – Data for currently booked rooms
- Same Point in Time – Data for rooms booked at the same point in time last year (comparing day-to-day by default, or date-to-date if selected in the pickup report options)
- Last Year Results – Actual performance from the same date last year
- Last Year Comp Set (STR)* – Benchmark data from your competitive set
This helps you understand how your performance is tracking against:
- Your own historical trends
- Your competitors' performance
Each row includes key metrics like:
- Occupancy (Occ) – % of rooms booked
- ADR – Average Daily Rate
- RevPAR – Revenue Per Available Room
- Rm Revenue, F&B, Other – Revenue categories
- Total Revenue – Combined revenue for the day
- Analyze Room Segmentation
The bottom section shows the bookings (RN = Room Night) broken down by market segment, with the change (1D = 1-day change) in rooms and ADR compared to the update date also displayed.
- Each rate plan (e.g., RMA, RMH, RMC) displays data for:
- On the Books – Rooms booked and their ADR today
- Same Point in Time – Bookings on the same day one year ago
- Last Year Results – Final outcome for that room type
- Use this section to:
- Compare this year’s segment performance to last year’s booking mix
- Identify which segments are underperforming in either volume or ADR
- Decide whether to shift inventory or apply a segment-specific rate strategy
This is particularly useful if you manage multiple rate categories or contract clients and need to adjust based on pickup trends across rate types.
